Matt dancing

I love this guy!

When younger, Matt Harding just wanted to play and make video games. In 2003, he quit his job and took all his savings to use to travel around Asia, making a video blog for his family and friends back home to see. One of his friends suggested the videos might be a little more interesting if Matt did something in the videos - like do that little jig dance he had liked to do at work.

And so it began. After that first complete video appeared in 2004, Stride chewing gum offered to pay Matt to travel around the world and video his dancing in all sorts of places. He sometimes travels with one friend, but usually it's just him and his video cameria.

He used to dance alone, but now, via the Internet, he lets folks know where he is going to be and people (who have access to the Internet) join him in dancing. His favorite time, however, is when the children in small villages and out of the way places, who would not have any way to even know what the Internet is, spontaneously join him just for the unabashed fun of it all.

His 2008 video is out now....and it's more than great. Have a look.

(I need to start traveling again!)
