The view from my back deck is beautiful. After our horrible drought I didn't think there'd be any fall color, just shriveled up leaves, but I've been proven wrong.
I've started the fall chores, so I'm busy clearing out all the underbrush (an acre is a big piece of property when there are leaves and brush to clear!) and cutting some of the smaller branches into firewood sized pieces. I've cleaned out the owl house, too, hoping for a return visit from the little screech owl.
Two friends have had daughters get married recently. The weddings were wonderfully warm family filled events. Watching the mothers made me think ahead to how I will ever possibly handle it when my own Chickie-boy gets married. I don't think there will be enough Kleenex in the world to handle my emotions that day!
