A very warm December day

Christmas decorations are slowly sneaking out of their closet. I've put up the manger scene and Santa Bunny has found his way onto the front porch (along with a poinsietta and some evergreen branches).






Since the weather has included some 76 degree days, the cats have all enjoyed time lazing around on the back deck. Muffin has especially liked tracking the very active squirrels. Here he is lurking over the side of the deck.








Now that the leaves have left the trees and piled all over the few remaining blades of lawn, I can see that it looks like something has started nesting in the owl box. I'm sure I'm not lucky enough to have a real owl there -- the rowdy squirrels have probably taken it over, but here is my view of the owl house from my house.
